Opportunities for Learning
TEMPLE'S EDUCATION VISION
Learning at Temple Mount Sinai exists to create a caring, diverse, and committed community of Reform Jews.
The Floyd S. Fierman Religious School is named for our beloved rabbi, who served the congregation from 1949-1989. Rabbi Fierman left an indelible mark on El Paso, and many of the parents and grandparents of today's students remember the impression he made upon them when they were young.
Religious School Curriculum Highlights
Starting this year (2024/2025), the Floyd S. Fierman Religious School will be piloting a new hybrid curriculum. Continuing to partner with the Goldring/Woldenberg Institute for Southern Jewish Life (ISJL) as our core curriculum and broadening our student’s experiential learning through project-based blocks. This blending of curriculum and projects will continue to develop our student’s strong Jewish identities and understanding of rituals, holidays and what it means to be Jewish. Every student will be engaging in meaningful tefilah (prayer), Hebrew and Jewish studies.
