By typing my name, I confirm I have read, understand and agree to the above.
Learning Commitment

At The Floyd S. Fierman Religious School we are committed to Lifelong Jewish learning and aim to provide all students this foundation in childhood.  In order to become Bat/Bar Mitzvah at Temple Mount Sinai, we expect that students in 2nd through 8th grades will attend a Jewish educational program in order to achieve this goal and we highly encourage attendance of additional Hebrew which will be held on Wednesday afternoons at B'nai Zion. (All students in grades 2-8 will receive an hour of Hebrew instruction on Sundays. Wednesday is an additional hour for those students in need of weekday language learning in preparation for their Bat/Bat Mitzvah or for those students who want to enhance their language learning.)

We will continue to offer an additional midweek Hebrew program on Wednesdays from 4-5 P.M. at B'nai Zion. Please contact Mindy Escobar-Leanse for more questions - mescobar-leanse@templemountsinai.com

Media Release

From time to time your child’s photo may be taken in our classrooms or special events.  We use these photos in the Temple bulletin or to share with the greater community through the Jewish Federation.

Section D: Congregation Community

You may have noticed that at the top of the form we begin with family information.  This is intentional.  The work of raising and educating Jewish children cannot be done in the school alone, but is a project of the school, the family and the community. You are not just registering your child(ren) for school today, but in fact your entire family.   When you come in the building and spend time learning and volunteering with us, you make a powerful statement to your children that Jewish learning is a lifelong process and that we are all on the same team in creating these experiences for them.  Don’t underestimate the subtle power of this statement!

We have specific days during the course of the year (see calendar for dates) on which parents are requested to attend with students (Family Learning Events) Please plan to join us on these days.

In addition to those opportunities to participate we are in need of regular volunteers to assist with occasional school lunches, volunteering opportunities and, potentially, to help lead a specific course or project.  Would you consider supporting our school in an ongoing role or a limited engagement?

It takes a village to educate our students and we would appreciate any help you're able to offer. For instance, B'nai Shabbat is an ongoing program run on the first Friday of every month during Shabbat services and we often need an extra adult hand, or three, to assist our teacher with the activities. Please contact Mindy Escobar-Leanse directly for additional questions or to volunteer your time - mescobar-leanse@templemountsinai.com
On occasion, we are in need of additional help. This could be extra volunteers for a family learning event or to help facilitate a project over the course of 2-4 weeks. The time commitment and description of these instances will vary depending on the school's needs. If you are interested in helping for family learning or project based activities, please reach out to Mindy Escobar-Leanse for more information: mescobar-leanse@templemountsinai.com.
Section E: Payment Information

In Jewish tradition, it is the job not only of parents but of the community to provide education for children. The Temple Mount Sinai community is committed to this obligation.  As such, our religious school fee only covers a portion of the cost of our religious school.  If your family is financially able to donate more than the $200 base fee, please consider making an additional donation to help other families and support our specialized teachers.

PreK-1st Grade - Base fee = $ 200 plus Supplies Fee = $118
2nd-8th Grade - Base fee = $360 (which includes Hebrew) plus Supplies Fee = $118
High School Madrichim/Tzion Program = $360 which covers all costs

Please note: All credit card transactions will have a 3% transaction fee (Titled: ACH Fee). We accept bank transactions or checks which do not incur this fee. Please choose "Bill to my account" when submitting for payment.

You have requested financial assistance, check the box below, then please contact Sally Parke (sparke@templemountsinai.com) to set up your meeting as soon as possible. When you are ready to submit your registration, please choose "Bill to Account" as your payment option.

The cost per student for a year of religious school is roughly $1,600. This covers the cost of specialty teachers, facilities, supplies, security and other overhead costs. Because we are committed to educating our students in an environment that is not prohibitive, we are charging a fraction of this cost per family. If your family is able to donate more to help off-set costs, please consider making an additional donation. Thank you for your tzedakah!
